The Holman Lee Agency has been involved with the Ploughing Championships for as long as I can remember
THE busiest week of the year is finally here!
The National Ploughing Championships have returned once again, and boy oh boy is it as fun as ever.
The Ploughing has always been a staple in my diary, and is consistently one of the most chaotic yet delightful weeks in my calendar.
The Holman Lee Agency has been involved with the Ploughing Championships for as long as I can remember, and the excitement hasn’t faded one bit!
We’re back again this year, enjoying every minute of the three fabulous fashion-packed days.
Having hosted a launch and book signing event for my memoir, Glamour & Grit, just last week, and hosting a fashion show on Friday for Culture Night, I’m keeping busy.

Each event gives me the chance to meet people – be it old friends or total strangers – which I simply adore.
The Ploughing in particular allows me to speak to people of all ages from all over the country. The one thing we all have in common is a love for fashion!
The Holman Lee Agency is hosting three fashion shows a day, one at 11.30am, one at 1.30pm, and one at 3.30pm.
Each show features incredible looks from boutiques and department stores across the country.
This Wednesday, September 16, we have the added extra of hosting the Most Appropriately Dressed Lady & Gentlemen Competition.
I cannot wait to see everyone all dolled up in their glad rags! It brings me so much joy to see men and women pull out their most fabulous outfits that they may never get a chance to wear otherwise.
We’re always very fortunate to have huge crowds at each show, it’s heart-warming to see how the shows have become a staple of the event.
I’m compèring all the shows myself, and it’s such a joy, as always, to be up there sharing the stories behind the style, the trends, and most of all, showcasing the brilliant Irish retailers and designers who make it all possible.

Though I have very early starts this week, leaving my house at 6am to make the journey to Offaly, I could never feel tired at such a marvellous event.
It is such a truly Irish event, as is evidenced from this picture from the launch event of me posing with two prize cows!!
Getting to see beautiful dresses and muddy wellies all in the one place is always a delight, there’s something so special about bringing style to the lush fields of Ireland!
If you’re planning on heading to the Ploughing, make sure you pop in to say hello, get some fashion inspiration, or learn a few tips and tricks.
See you soon!
