Newcastle West senior football management team step down

THE Newcastle West senior footballers are currently looking for a new manager ahead of the 2025 season. Liam Keane has stepped down as manager of the club.

Newcastle West GAA club released a statement on their X account: 'Expression of interest for this position to be made to secretary’s email or phone by close of business Friday November 22nd 2024 @ secretary.newcastlewest.limerick@gaa.ie Or +353 (87) 638 1319'. 

 Adare defeated Newcastle West in the Limerick senior football championship semi-final. 

Keane took over from Limerick senior football manager Jimmy Lee this year. Lee was in charge of the Magpies from 2021 until 2023. Newcastle West won the Limerick senior football championship three times in-a-row from 2021 until 2023

In 2022, Newcastle West reached the Munster SFC final where they were narrowly defeated by Kerins O'Rahillys
