In an update, gardai say Kevin Filipache has been located 'safe and well'

Gardai have stood down a missing person appeal for a 13-year-old boy who vanished from Dunleer in County Louth who vanished from Dublin City centre in the early hours of Monday September 15. 

In an update, issued on Tuesday evening, they say that Kevin Filipache has been located "safe and well" and that no further action is required.

He was reported missing from Dublin City centre on Monday September 15, sparking an urgent nationwide appeal.  

While gardai have confirmed Kevin has been located, no further information has been disclosed to the public at this time.    

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana has thanked the media and members of the public for their assistance with the appeal.
