A week-long search for a 42-year-old man missing from Limerick City who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been stood down after he was "located safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.
Michael Hourigan - described as being just over 6 feet in height, with a medium build, grey hair and blue eyes - was reported missing from Limerick City since Monday, February 24 at approximately 10pm.
Michael was last seen in the Dooradoyle area of Limerick City, but was known to frequent the Charleville area. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a black and grey wool hat.
"Gardaí would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
