Why didn't we think of this? Irish dad thinks of clever way to save bins from Storm Éowyn
As the country copes with the wrath of Storm Éowyn, there was one thing on the top of everyone's minds - how to keep the bins safe!
With winds reaching a historic speed of 183km/h in some parts of the country, bins have expectedly taken flight for many people.
However, some people managed to think outside of the box when it came to preparing for the Status Red storm.
One person hilariously shared on X a photo of their bins taped to their walls to prevent them from being swept away in the strong gusts.

According to later posts, the user updated everyone to let them know that their father's innovative idea worked like a charm and their bins were still in tact!
they’ve officially survived the night, but it’s far from over yet. all 3 bins and the wall currently intact with no damage. can’t say the same for the neighbours bins. i bet they feel silly now. #StormEowyn pic.twitter.com/dQKdLVn9xZ

Some people are definitely wishing they had thought of this one!
