A winning Lotto ticket worth just over €7m was sold in Carraroe, County Galway, it has been revealed.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket from Wednesday’s draw, worth €7,028,440, was sold at the Eurospar in the village An Cheathrú Rua, around 50kms to the west of Galway city.
The player, is the 10th Lotto Jackpot winner of 2024, and the county's second biggest win so far this year, after Monaghan's filling station in Westside sold a winning EuroMillions ticket worth €1,005,000 back in September.
This latest win also makes the Galway player the 30th National Lottery millionaire of 2024.

Officials from the National Lottery say they will visit the store later this Friday to make the official announcement.
Preparations will be made to pay out the life-changing prize once the player makes contact with National Lottery headquarters.
Meanwhile, the National Lottery has announced a thrilling EuroMillions event this Friday night where 100 new millionaires are guaranteed across the nine participating countries, including Ireland.
Each of the winners will receive an incredible €1 million in a special EuroMillions raffle draw.
