Deeply missed and always remembered: The late Jennifer O'Shaugnessy
A woman who died almost three weeks after a car she was travelling in was involved in a collision with a bus in County Limerick will be laid to rest later this Wednesday.
Jennifer O’Shaughnessy, of Clonakilty and formerly of Lehenaghmore, County Cork, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Cork University Hospital (CUH).
Ms O’Shaughnessy, a passenger in the car, was airlifted to CUH with “serious injuries” following the road traffic incident on the R513 near Ballylanders, County Limerick on Saturday afternoon, October 26.
Ms O’Shaughnessy is a dearly beloved daughter of Marie and Tim, much loved sister of Sharyn, Laura and Emma, and devoted godmother of Aaron and loving partner of Razvan.
She will be deeply missed and always remembered by her heartbroken family and partner, brother-in-law Paul, Robert, godson Aaron, aunts, uncles, relatives, work colleagues in Eli Lilly, and a wide circle of friends, reads her death notice on rip.ie.
Ms O’Shaughnessy, who reposed at her home in Clonakilty on Tuesday evening, will be laid to rest at St Patrick’s Cemetery, Crosshaven, County Cork following Requiem Mass in the Church of the Way of the Cross in Togher, Cork city.
Her death notice includes a quote, “A life so beautifully lived, deserves to be beautifully remembered”.

Dozens of touching tributes have been paid and messages of sympathy expressed on rip.ie .
“Jennifer was truly a kind and bubbly person, and it was an honour to know her,” said one work colleague.
Another wrote: “It was an absolute joy to work with Jennifer - she was kind and sweet, and had such a great sense of humour. She always brightened my days and I miss her so much. Rest in peace.”
One mourner said: “She was such a kind, sweet girl. My deepest condolences to her partner, family and friends. I cannot imagine the grief you are experiencing and I wish you every comfort at this immensely difficult time.”
