Irish households warned to shut windows over next few weeks

Irish households have been warned to keep their wondows shut over the next few weeks to prevent unwanted guests in their homes.

As Met Eireann is predicting a wet end to August and with cooler temperatures on the way, leaving the windows open could invite an influx of spiders into your home.

And it looks like spider season is officially underway. 

Spiders tend to make their way into our homes from late August to early October.
