Passers-by in one Irish town have been left in disbelief following one local election candidates 'catchphrase' on his vote sign.
Joe Druhan who is running for Wexford Independent Alliance (WIA) in the upcoming local elections has sent social media in a spin after his sign in Kilrane, just outside Rosslare Harbour in Wexford, was posted online.
The 'honest' sign reads: "Vote no.1 Druhan Joe, cuttin' grass and drinking tae!".
The Irish Local Election has peaked.

A picture of the sign was published to X (formerly Twitter) and social media users have reacted to it, saying: "A candidate who actually understands which election he's running in!" and "I heard about that poster yesterday and I honestly thought someone was messing".
Another said: "Didn’t cut the grass behind his poster… must’ve been drinking tae…" while someone else wrote "Honestly, he would get my vote".
A local TD from the area said Mr Druhan is a "community man and is well aware of how local politics works".
Mr Druhan is running in the Rosslare Municipal District (RMD) area in the upcoming election on June 7.
He is caretaker of the cemetery in Our Lady’s Island and works on the upkeep of the graveyard grounds, as well as being a maintenance manager of the local primary school in Broadway.
