Two more arrested in connection with murder of Limerick man Lee Slattery

Two more people have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the murder of Lee Slattery. 

Gardaí at Mayorstone, Limerick have arrested two men as part of an ongoing investigation into the murder of Lee Slattery, 24, whose body was discovered in the Delmege House estate near Moyross, Limerick, in May, 2010.

His body was found several days after he had been reported missing. 

A post-mortem examination established he had been shot a number of times before being buried.

Both men were arrested yesterday evening, May 21 and are detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, and Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at Garda Stations in the Limerick Division.

A woman, aged in her 30s, was also arrested on May 19 and remains in custody.

The two males arrested on May 20 were released without charge last night, and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact them at the incident room in Mayorstone Garda Station at 061 456 980, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
