Three people have been hospitalised with "serious but not life-threatening" injuries after an aggravated burglary took place in Cork.
Gardaí are appealing for information following the burglary, which took place on Millerd Street in Cork at approximately 6am this morning, Wednesday, April 17.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Three occupants in the house, two women and a man, were injured during the incident. They were taken to Cork University Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment for injuries which are understood to be serious but not life-threatening."
Gardaí confirmed that "a sum of cash was also reported stolen."
Investigations are ongoing and a technical examination of the scene is due to take place while no arrests have been made at this time.
