Toddler not safely fastened in car caught travelling at over 100km/h in 50km/h zone

A car detected travelling over twice the speed limit has been seized by Gardaí. 

Gardaí in Roscommon clocked the vehicle travelling at 103km/h in a 50km/h zone this morning (March 6), with the driver pulled over further on in a 30km/h zone. 

Officers also discovered the driver had no driving licence and no insurance, and a three year old passenger was not safely fastened in their seat. 

A fine and a summons will be in the post.
