A range of knives, slash hooks and machetes – as well as two suspected pipe bombs – were among 30 items seized by gardai in Cork.
The operation was conducted by gardai in north Cork as part of an ongoing investigation into a number of violent disorder and criminal incidents in Charleville in December and January.
Armed gardai and dog units were involved in the searches of eight premises which also resulted in the seizure of cannabis, knives, golf clubs and axes.
Baseball bats and a boxcutter knife were also seized.
A photo showing the seized items also included 16 canisters of nitrous oxide.
Five people were arrested in the operation.
Three were charged to appear before a court in Co Cork, while two remained in custody on Thursday evening.
