WARNING: Met Éireann issues Status Yellow rain warning for 13 counties

A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for thirteen counties. 

According to Met Éireann, heavy, thundery rain is expected to cause flooding and difficult travel conditions in Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, and Wicklow from 5.45pm today (Saturday October 28) until tomorrow morning (Sunday October 29) at approximately 4am. 

Meanwhile, a similar warning has been issued for Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Meath, and Westmeath from 8pm tonight to 6am tomorrow morning. 

Saturated ground conditions should be expected.
