ALERT: Irish consumer protection group identifies safety issue with popular air fryer

A safety issue has been identified with a popular air fryer sold online.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the SilverCrest S-18 Oilless Air Fryer sold on the eBay platform presents a risk of fire.

The product’s fuse does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard, meaning the fuse can fail leading to the plug overheating or igniting.

Given the online availability of this product, it may have been sold to customers in the Republic of Ireland.

If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately and discard the product.

You may wish to contact the eBay seller via your user account to see if there are any remedies available to you.
