ANOTHER internationally acclaimed band has been announced to play at the Docklands festival next summer in Limerick.
Tickets will be on sale from Friday, November 15 at 10am for The Waterboys, who have been confirmed as the fourth act to perform at Live at the Docklands next summer.
The latest to be added to the eagerly anticipated line-up, which includes Kingfishr, Picture This and Block Rockin Beats with Dec Pierce, The Waterboys will also be taking Limerick by storm on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Led by Scottish singer and guitarist Mike Scott since the 1980s, their best-known songs include The Whole of The Moon, How Long Will I Love You, This Is the Sea and Fisherman's Blues.

Mike said: “The Waterboys live for the experience of playing, of feeling our music evolve and grow with each consecutive concert. How will the music change? What will happen that's never happened before? How much fun and thrills can we and the audiences have? Come and join us!”
The 2024 version of The Waterboys features double keyboard players Brother Paul and James Hallawell, grounded by killer Irish rhythm section Aongus Ralston (bass) and Eamon Ferris (drums).
Set to reconfigure music from all stages of the band's career, from the early “big music” and the roots-inspired Fisherman’s Blues, Limerick audiences can excerpt genres of soul, funk and country-rock.
Dolans presents the Live at Docklands festival each year it has been on, with Mick Dolan saying: “For our fifth show for next year’s edition of the festival, we are delighted to welcome The Waterboys back to Limerick.
“One of my personal favourites, I can’t wait to see them perform next summer.”
Expect drama, improvisation, musical fireworks and Waterboys classics.
Tickets will be on sale and available to buy from Dolans.ie and Ticketmaster.ie from Friday, November 15 at 10am.
