"It's going to be a big challenge, but one we are throughly looking forward to. After having the week off and after a loss against Leinster you reflect a bit and the best place you can get going again is playing in Thomond Park on a Saturday afternoon against a huge English Premiership side in Saracens."

These were Munster Rugby's attack coach Mike Prendergast thoughts ahead of one of the province most important games of the season as they take on English heavy weights Sarries' in their third group game of the Investec Champions Cup in the Limerick Stadium at 5:30pm Saturday afternoon.

Saracens currently sit third in the English Premiership table and one place above Munster in second place in the Champions Cup group after wins against the Bulls and Stade Français.

Prendergast went on to say: "You are playing a team full of quality and they showed that last week against a good Bristol team. They are third in the Premiership, which is a hugely competitive competition, you need to be on it, and they look like they are. There is a huge history between ourselves and Saracens so everyone is massively looking forward to the game, but we know how much of a challenge it will be."

The Munster squad will be bolstered by the return of some key figures to the squad including Diarmuid Barron, Diarmuid Kilgallen, Jack O’Donoghue and Conor Murray as they all return to team training this week. These players will bring a wealth of experience back into the Munster squad, who have suffered a host of injuries before Christmas.

Speaking about the return of players the Munster attack coach stated: "It's a welcome return for those players that are back, all experienced players on top of that, which will strength us up for the weekend. There is a few bits and pieces to get through in training before then but it's get to have them back."

Munster's crucial game against Saracens this weekend will be shown live on RTÉ 2 and Premier Sports.
