MUNSTER Rugby women's player Kate Flannery has been selected for the Irish Women's U20 squad for their historic fixtures against Italy and Scotland later this month.
The 19-year-old only made her senior provincial debut last January and has now been included in the first ever national squad at the U20 age level. She is the only Munster representative in the 26 strong squad.
Three senior capped players are also included in the squad that will play training fixtures in Rome. The squad will come together for a week-long training camp at the IRFU High Performance Centre on Monday, July 16, before travelling to Rome on Friday, July 21.
The squad against Italy and Scotland at the Stadio Tommaso Fattori in L’Aquila, before going head-to-head in two 40-minute matches on Friday, July 28.
