LIMERICK and Cork hurlers will be colliding in a few hours time but their supporters are already running into each other.
There are long delays reported ahead of the toll before Portlaoise where traffic on the M7 coming from Limerick and M8 from Cork combine.
The line of vehicles stretches for miles. There are no reports of any collisions - it is just sheer volume.

One Limerick supporter stuck in traffic said it is at a "standstill".
Delays were expected with some 80,000 fans - majority travelling by car or bus - all heading in the same direction to Dublin.
Last night, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) reported animals on the M7 between Newbridge and Kildare which have since been cleared. Let's just hope there isn't a repeat of bales of hay falling from a lorry on the motorway...
