GOLFERS from across Limerick have teed off at the annual Civic Trust fuindraiser.
Limerick Golf Club at Ballyclough played host to the tournament, where participants competed for the Denis Leonard Perpetual Trophy, named in honour of the man who founded the Civic Trust 40 years ago this year.
All money raised from the event went to supporting the work of the Civic Trust which is based at the Bishop’s Palace near King John’s Castle in the city centre.
The trust exists to undertake projects which improve Limerick’s environment.
At the moment, the charity is bidding to raise €350,000 to allow a new military museum open.
The Civic Trust will be holding a series of events to mark its 40th anniversary throughout this summer.
