A NUMBER of Limerick-based players have been included in the Ireland U20s squad to face a Leinster Development side today, Friday, 2pm, at Energia Park as part of their preparations for the U20s Six Nations.

Garryowen and Munster Academy scrum-half Jack Oliver starts in today's game as does Old Crescent flanker Ruadhan Quinn in the back-row.

Evan O'Connell, of UL-Bohemian and the Munster Academy, is named on the replacements' bench for the game.

Munster's representation includes Brian Gleeson, of Garryowen, at number eight, while Josh Costello, of Shannon, is on the replacements' bench.

There is now just four weeks to go until Ireland U20s play their U20 Six Nations opener against Wales.

Richie Murphy‘s extended squad have enjoyed valuable run outs against Italy and Munster Development either side of Christmas, building towards the Six Nations opener against Wales at Colwyn Bay on Friday, February 3.

The Ireland coaching team have again named an extended Match Day squad for Friday’s encounter against Leinster in Dublin, with Head Coach Murphy using this window to explore his squad options ahead of the 2023 Championship defence.

Tickets for Ireland’s first U20 Six Nations match against France at Musgrave Park in Cork on Friday, 10 February are available to purchase here.
