Murroe native Con Dee sadly passed away in August of this year in London.
Con was for many years the mainstay of the Limerick Association in London and was synonymous with all things GAA.
His wife, Monica, a native of Cobh in Cork, passed away 13 years ago and their daughter Nolly, just two years ago.
Con set up a Ladies Gaelic football tournament a number of years ago and earlier this month, the final was played earlier this month in West London in what was a fine exhibition of football and a fitting tribute to Con, Monica and Nolly.
The match was played between Fr Murphy's and Dulwich Harps.
Duo Sarah McDermott and Emma Coombes netted five goals between them for the Fr Murphy's side in the first half but Dulwich responded in the second half scoring four goals of their own.
In the end it was a 6-6 to 4-5 win for the Fr Murphy's side in what was a compelling contest.
Con and Monica's daughter Mary presented the trophies at a reception in the clubhouse after the match.
The deceased members of the Dee family were fondly remembered.
