The Limerick Ladies footballers retained their Munster senior 'B' championship last weekend. The Treaty County came out on top in an enthralling encounter where they saw off neighbours Clare in a 4-7 to 4-5 victory.
It was a goal feast all through, but in the end two late points from Limerick was the difference between the sides as they ran out just about deserving winners on the day.

There were impressive displays all over the pitch for the winners, with Yvonne Lee, Rebecca Delee and Roisin Ambrose the pick of the Limerick players.
Limerick joint-manager Seán Kiley reflects on the game, pinpointing the Shannonsiders' fast start as the foundation for his side's victory.
"We got off to a very good start and that was a bonus for us because we haven't been starting games very well of late," he said.
We had a lot of chances throughout and we didn't capitalise on them, the scoreboard maybe didn't reflect the amount of possession we had but the girls worked really hard throughout."
We knew going into it that it was going to be a tough battle but after 10/15 minutes we felt that we were well capable of winning the game," he added.
Kiely also highlighted the importance of momentum and how significant it can be as Limerick look to make it to Croke Park this summer.
"One of the most important things about the final was the winning momentum. Winning is a habit and that's something we've been able to do in quite a few games and that was my biggest takeaway from the game, it just keeps that momentum ticking over heading into the All-Ireland series," he said.
Looking ahead to what he hopes will be a long summer with his squad, Kiely says that the hectic nature of this year has suited his side.
"So far this season and in this upcoming All-Ireland series there isn't too much time for rest, it's week on week but we don't mind that, we actually really enjoy it," he said.
We are reporting a clean bill of health heading into our first game against Kilkenny. We have a very competitive squad so that game may be a chance to rotate and for girls to get game time," he added.
The next step for this side is All-Ireland success, according to their joint-manager.
"We need to push on, that's the big thing in Limerick, it's great that we won the Munster championship but this All-Ireland series is the big one for us, we've had one eye on that all year so now it's time for us to straighten up and go at that," he said.
We need to get out of the group stage, get to Croke Park and do Limerick proud," he concluded.
Limerick get their All-Ireland Junior Championship group stage underway with a trip to Kilkenny to face The Cats on Sunday, June 1. Throw in is at 2pm in John Locke Park. Derry, Sligo and Louth make up the rest of group A.
