The Limerick District League Oscar Traynor Trophy squad
THE Limerick District League make the trip to Mayo on Sunday afternoon to take on the Ulster Champions, Donegal Junior League, in the semi-final of the Oscar Traynor Trophy.
Limerick DL were crowned Munster Champions last week when they defeated the Munster Senior League 3-0 to reach the last four of the tournament.
While the Donegal side have had an easier ride to this stage of the competition, beating the Irishowen League, Limerick have had a couple of hurdles.

They opened with a 4-2 win away to the Clare DL. Conor Coughlan scored three on the night with Darragh Rainsford also netting.
In last weekend’s Munster final, Daryl Murphy, Kai Joyce and Shane Walsh were scorers.
The management team of Nigel Casey, Anthony Hayes, Paul Bourke, and Shane Clarke will be determined to keep the run going as they look to win the trophy for the first time since 2019.

MEANWHILE, in the FAI U17 Cup, Pike Rovers host Kinsale in Crossagalla on Sunday afternoon, 2pm.
On Saturday, two Limerick sides are in FAI Youth action, both away from home.
Fairview Rangers make the trip to Feenagh Utd while Corbally has a longer journey away to Freebooters AFC.

Star Rovers travel across town to meet a Summerville Rovers side who seem to be finding their feet after a bad start to the season.

Moyross Utd A face a tough test away to a Carew side who are looking to play just their second game in two months.
In Division 1A, leaders Herbertstown A visit Cappamore Celtic.
Second placed Murroe A travel to Parkville A while third placed Shelbourne will be tested at Granville Rangers.
Ballynanty Rovers B visit Croom Utd in Division where they hold a six-point lead.
However, Pike have a couple of games in hand and they will be keen to keep up the pressure when they host Lisnagry.
