Limerick County hurling championship final pairings confirmed

DOON and Na Piarsaigh set up a repeat of last year's decider when winning through to the 2025 Whitebox Property Developments Ltd county senior hurling championship final yesterday.

Holders Doon produced a storming second half display to overcome Ballybrown 2-21 to 0-14 in their semi-final showdown at Kilmallock yesterday. Na Piarsaigh booked a return to the showpiece final thanks to a 2-20 to 1-17 semi-final victory over Kilmallock at Bruff also yesterday.

The 2025 Whitebox Limerick senior hurling final showdown between Doon and Na Piarsaigh will take place at the TÚS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, October 19 with a 3.30pm throw-in. Doon claimed their first county senior hurling title when defeating Na Piarsaigh 0-16 to 2-9 in the 2024 final last October.

Meanwhile, Garryspillane and Effin will meet in this year's Premier Intermediate Hurling final on Sunday, October 19 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 1pm.

Effin's Frankie Herr, Pierse O'Kelly and Ruairi O'Connor all the hit the net for Adrian Barrett's side in their ten-point victory over Blackrock. Limerick senior hurler Patrick O'Donovan missed his side's semi-final victory through injury. Garryspillane edged past Croagh-Kilfinny by the minimium. Glenroe defeated South Liberties 1-18 to 0-11 which now means Liberties will be playing intermediate hurling in 2026.

Last year's intermediate finalists Bruree will take Murroe Boher in the intermediate hurling final on Saturday October 18 in Fedamore at 2pm.Knockaderry face Doon's second team in the Premier Junior Hurling final on Saturday October 18 in Kilmallock at 3pm.
