Four Limerick sides face crucial Harty Cup fixtures

THE final round of the group stages in the Dr Harty Cup takes place this Wednesday.Four Limerick schools are in third round group action.

Ardscoil Rís have already booked their place in the knockout stages of the Harty Cup with two wins. Castletroy College, John The Baptist Community School and Scoil Na Tríonóide Naofa, Doon all remain in the hunt to reach the knockout stages.

In group one, scoring difference could come into the equation to decide which teams progress.

John The Baptist Community School face CBC, Cork in Banteer at 1:45pm. CBC, Cork sit top of group one. If Hospital can defeat their opponents they will finish top of the group.

Doon meet Rice College, Ennis in other game in group one at 3pm in the University of Limerick.

The east Limerick school need a win and CBC Cork to defeat Hospital. Scoring difference would then come into equation between the two Limerick schools. The sides drew in round two.

It's more straight forward in group two.

Ardscoil Rís will look to continue their unbeaten record against Colaiste Choilm, Ballincollig in Mallow at 1:30pm.
In the other game in group two, Castletroy College face Our Lady's Secondary School, Templemore in Toomevara at the same time.

Both sides recorded a victory over Colaiste Choilm and suffered a defeat to Ardscoil Rís in their previous outings. If this game finishes in a draw, Our Lady's College Templemore will advance to the knock-out stages of the Dr Harty Cup.
