BALLYBROWN and Dromin-Athlacca remain the two unbeaten teams in group two of the Bon Secours Limerick Senior Hurling Championship.

Both clubs will be delighted with the starts they have made to Group Two of the Championship.

Ballybrown and Dromin-Athlacca will both be eying top spot to make the jump up to Group One.

The team that finishes top of Group Two will be promoted to group one of the SHC. First and second-placed will then face third and fourth from Group One in the quarter-finals of the Championship.

Ballybrown and Dromin-Athlacca are in pole position to reach the quarter-finals.

Sharpshooter Aidan O'Connor has led Ballybrown to maintain their unbeaten start, scoring 0-21 from centre half forward. Limerick hurling star David Reidy has been in superb form for his club Dromin-Athlacca where Reidy has been on target with a total of 1-23.

There have been mixed campaigns for Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Monaleen during this year's SHC. Monaleen were beaten by Ballybrown in the opening round but the Castletroy-based side gave a huge reaction last week where they defeated South Liberties by 13 points.

Teenager Matthew Fitzgerald impressed landing eight points for his club.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry suffered an eight point defeat to Ballybrown last Thursday. Natal O'Grady will be looking for a big reaction from his team after last year's Group One side only managed to register 1-1 from play throughout 60 minutes.
Injuries have been a big concern for Kildimo-Pallaskenry with Tony McCarthy, Cathal Downes and Peter Nash all sidelined at the minute through injury.

Adare and South Liberties have suffered defeats and they will look to record their first victory of the Championship in round three.

Willie Griffin has been a massive loss for Adare, the attacker is currently out injured at the moment.

Louis Mulqueen can take positives from his side's performance against Dromin Athlacca. Adare competed well for long periods until a goal from Dromin-Athlacca late on sealed victory for them. There will be concerns for South Liberties who have lost their two opening games. Barry Nash has led the line for his club scoring 0-16 for his side.

Round three of the Senior Hurling Championship in Group Two gets back underway on the week of August 29.

Table toppers Ballybrown face bottom-placed South Liberties. Adare and Monaleen meet in a mid-table clash, while second-placed Dromin Athlacca take on third-placed Kildimo Pallaskenry.

The next two weeks sees the Football Championship take centre stage. After round three of the SHC, action in round four will take place on the week of Septemebr 5.
