THE Limerick masters hurling squad has been announced ahead of the 2024 championship. 2009 was the last time there was an All-Ireland hurling masters championship. 

Five former Limerick hurlers are part of this year's squad which include Ollie Moran, Niall Moran, Paudie Reale, Damien Reale and Barry Foley. 

Seoirse Bulfin of Bruff who has coached Waterford, Wexford and Clare and managed the Meath senior hurlers is also part of this years squad. 

The championship begins in August and seven counties will play take part in the competition. Those counties are: Limerick, Cork, Galway, Tipperary, Kerry, Wexford and Kildare. 

Limerick play Croagh this Saturday in a challenge match this Saturday night. 

Paul Butler of South Liberties manages the side and he is ably assisted Mike Flynn, Owen O'Sullivan, Hugh Dunne, Katie Lynch and Majella Scanlon.
