Remaining Munster Hurling League games have been cancelled

THE REMAINING games in the Co-op Superstores Munster Hurling League will not be played Munster GAA have confirmed this Monday afternoon.

Waterford were awaiting the winners of the Limerick and Cork fixture in the final but after that game was postponed three times, the decision has been made to cancel the remaining fixtures.

The final had initially been set to take place yesterday but the third cancellation of the Limerick and Cork game effectively ensured that the competition would not be completed.

With Limerick playing Tipperary in a charity game for the Dillon Quirke Foundation this Sunday and the Allianz Hurling League beginning the following week, there were no realistic time slots to fulfil the remaining fixtures.
