A FESTIVE spirit was in the air on Limerick's northside as the St Munchin's Community Centre held its annual Christmas party.
Santa Claus had the 'presents' of mind to bring gifts to people from across the community.
Meanwhile, a number of local politicians joined the massive volunteer effort in ensuring dozens of turkey dinners were handed out - and countless glasses of red and white wine were poured.
In that number were Maurice Quinlivan, Senator Maria Byrne plus councillors Conor Sheehan, Sharon Benson and Tom Collopy.
The Christmas dinner was taking place for the first time this decade - due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was cancelled the previous two years.
Chief executive of the community centre Linda Ledger - who was dressed in a red number for the occasion - led the tables in sing-song, as crackers were pulled and glasses were clinked.
And once the food had been eaten, people hit the dancefloor!
