Scene of car collision on Patrick Street PICTURE: LIMERICK LEADER
GARDAI are investigating a single vehicle collision in which a male pedestrian was struck by a car in Limerick city centre this Friday morning.
Four members of An Garda Siochana and five National Ambulance Service personnel were at the scene of the collision at Patrick Street.
It is understood that the pedestrian was struck outside the entrance of Arthur’s Quay shopping centre, at around 9.30am.
Paramedics at the scene were treating the individual, who has been taken to University Hospital Limerick, as gardai carried out investigations at the scene.
It is understood the driver of the vehicle was uninjured. The extent of the man’s injuries are not known yet.
