Over 2,000 in Limerick without electricity amid 'Status Yellow' gusts

MORE THAN 2,000 households are without electricity in County Limerick amid "Status Yellow" wind conditions this Saturday night. 

According to Met Eireann, there will be "north to northwest winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 kph with gusts of 90 to 100 kph" between this Saturday night and Sunday morning. 

According to the ESB website, approximately 1,136 premises are affected in Ahane, while there are around 938 homes affected in the Patrickswell-Clarina area. 

A total of 751 homes are affected in the Cratloe area, according to ESB. 

Restore time for all areas is expected to be at around 1.30am on Sunday.
