Second person dies at University Hospital Limerick following horror road crash

A SECOND person has died following a horror road crash over the bank holiday weekend.

The man, a 19-year-old who was driving the car involved in the vehicle fatal road traffic collision at Woodstock, Ennis, was pronounced dead at University Hospital Limerick this Tuesday, gardai said.

An 18-year-old male passenger was fatally injured when the car hit a wall in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A third man – aged 22 - remains in a critical condition at UHL, gardai said.

Gardai in Ennis are investigating the fatal collision that occurred at Woodstock at around 4.20am on Sunday. 

They are appealing to any persons or motorists who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at Ennis Garda Station on 065-6848100, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
