SOMEONE in Limerick has become a multi-millionaire, as the lucky Lotto Jackpot ticket holder has contacted the National Lottery to claim their €5.8m prize this Tuesday.

The National Lottery has confirmed to the Limerick Leader that a Lotto Jackpot player from Limerick contacted the claims team this morning to organise collection of the €5,868,553 million top prize.

It announced on Saturday night that the ticket was purchased in Limerick.

The winner purchased the lucky €5 Quickpick ticket on Friday at the General Post Office on Cecil Street.

The winning numbers for the draw were 4, 16, 18, 24, 32 and 35, with a bonus number of 46.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery told the Leader this Tuesday that “it’s great to have someone coming forward, and as well, with Christmas just around the corner”.

Roger McMahon, branch manager of the Limerick GPO said that he was “delighted” that the ticket was sold at the Cecil Street post office.
