Rush hour roadworks cause 2km tailback in Limerick

THERE are reports of long delays on one of the main roads between the city and West Limerick due to roadworks.

Rush hour traffic was at a standstill on the N69 between the Ferrybridge and Kildimo village shortly after 5pm this evening.

A stop/go system struggled to deal with the volume of cars.

A tailback of vehicles coming from the direction of Limerick city stretched for at least 2km.

Motorists are advised to approach the area with caution, as cars are queued over the Ferrybridge.
