CASTLETROY-based Cook Medical will be the title sponsor of the Limerick Women’s Mini Marathon for the next three years.
The 19th Women’s Mini Marathon will be held on Sunday October 30 and is expected to attract over 3,000 women of all ages.
This event raises significant funds for charities and organisations throughout the Mid-West region and has a long history of success in supporting local causes.
Each year the event is attended by a growing number of participants and supporters.
Speaking at the announcement, race director John Cleary welcomed its new title sponsor and outlined the importance of local business support.
“I am delighted that Cook Medical has come on board to sponsor this event over the coming years. Support and sponsorship from the local community is key in helping us run this event,” he said.
“Cook Medical celebrates 20 years in Limerick this year and we’re delighted that they will become synonymous with one of the fastest growing women’s sporting events in the Mid-West.
"By coming on board with the Mini Marathon, the company is showing a continued commitment to the city of Limerick and helping us to promote health, fitness and wellbeing within our community.
