Peter Clohessy's pet Rottweilers, Jessie and Robin are missing
THE CLOHESSY family is asking for the public's help in finding their two beloved dogs.
On Wednesday night, April 20, the pet Rottweilers went missing in Murroe.
Peter Clohessy is offering a reward for any information that will lead to the return of Jessie and Robin.
Anna Gibson Steel, Peter's wife, said Jessie was a gift to their home three years ago.
"Her gentle, loving nature was especially welcomed by our aging German Shepherd Alf, who had arthritis, no teeth, and was content lying around as his days of racing the tractor were a distant memory to him. Despite her youth, Jessie would lay with him to keep him company.
"When Alf passed last summer, she went into mourning and would lie on his grave in the garden, She seemed to have lost her spark, tried to dig him up several times and would drop toys into the hole," said Anna. They decided that Jessie needed company and Robin arrived.
"This did the trick, she bounced back to life and they became inseparable. Robin was learning how to radiate love in the very special way that Jessie does, everyone who met her would comment on it.
"I know every dog owner is biased but having had many dogs over the past 40 years we all agree that Jessie is extra special when it comes to giving unconditional love," said Anna.
They have enlisted the help of social media, friends, neighbours, strangers and saints in the search for their dogs.
