ONE HUNDRED of the province’s top entrepreneurs and business leaders have gathered for a summit in Newcastle West.
The Longcourt House Hotel in the town played host to the All-Ireland Business Foundation (AIBF) Munster entrepreneurs meet-up.
The event was organised by AIBF with the aim of cultivating relationships between the Irish business community.
It was sponsored by Hospital-based firm Aqua Process Solutions and the One4All gift card company.
City-based autism awareness charity ASD Ireland is a partner.
Mayor of Limerick, Cllr Gerald Mitchell opened the event which was compered by Elaine Carroll, the chief executive of AIBF.
Limerick entrepreneurship was strongly represented with local business people Helen McCormack, founder of Helen McCormack estate agents in the city centre, and Neilus Brouder of Glin-based Con Brouder Kitchens and Interiors.
They took part in a panel discussion and shared their own insights.
Caherdavin woman Mags Boland Murphy, founder of Bofin Consultancy was the keynote speaker.
Elsewhere, Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at University of Limerick, and who is also chairperson of the AIBF adjudication board gave a presentation centring on the areas of trust, expectations and actions.
Attendees also enjoyed two keynote speeches on how to succeed with key performance indicators in 2024.
This was delivered by Chris Farr of Maynooth firm Sontai, and Andy Burke, a former army commandant, and the founder of Clare business coaching firm Blue Vista.

Ms Carroll said: “AIBF’s entrepreneurs meet-ups are gatherings for business people by business people. These events have been carefully designed to help entrepreneurs and business leaders cultivate valuable relationships whilst delivering practical insights and thought leadership through a lineup of inspiring speakers and big thinkers.”
The Limerick Entrepreneurs Meet-Up was the second regional event hosted by the All-Ireland Business Foundation in 2024, and follows on from another successful gathering in Cork last March.
The foundation also hosts its annual conference The All-Ireland Business Summit at Croke Park on June 12 next, and the AIBF Leaders Forum and Christmas Lunch at the Aviva Stadium on December 11.
