GARDAI were called to attend a location in the city after the remains of a man were discovered, Limerick Live has learned.
It is understood the deceased may have been in the property for a number of days.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí received a report and attended the scene of the discovery of the body of a man, which occurred at a residential premises in Limerick city on the afternoon of Sunday, April 21, 2024."

The body was removed from the scene to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick and a postmortem examination has been conducted, said the garda spokeserson.
The age of the man has not been revealed.
"The results of the postmortem will not be disclosed for operational reasons. A file has been prepared for the coroner. Investigations are ongoing," concluded the garda spokesperson.
