BREAKING: Armed robbery in Limerick investigated by gardai

GARDAI are hunting down armed robbers who stole cash and items at gunpoint in Limerick city this Monday morning.

A garda spokesperson said they received report of an alleged incident of armed robbery that occurred at approximately 10.55am this Monday, April 8 at a premises on Cruises Street.

"A sum of cash and a number of goods were taken in the course of this incident," said the garda spokesperson.

No injuries have been reported.

"No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing at this time" said the garda spokesperson.

Anybody who may have witnessed the armed robbery or saw the culprits fleeing the scene are asked to contact Henry Street garda station on 061 212400.
