Beagh Castle PICTURE: Castle Cottages
THE operator of a holiday castle in west Limerick has secured development funding worth more than €10,000.
Located at Ballysteen, Askeaton, Beagh Castle has been chosen as one of Three Ireland’s recipients of small business grants.
Funded by Three Ireland and managed by the small business network and support provider, Enterprise Nation, the bursary comprises €5,000 cash, €5,000 for device and connectivity solutions, as well as mentoring from Three Ireland’s in-house experts.
Beagh Castle is a holiday cottage located on an 18-acre site close to the Shannon Estuary.
The grounds are home to donkeys, ponies, goats and rabbits.
The hugely-popular Iverus Café is also located on the grounds.
Padraig Sheerin, Head of small to medium sized enterprises at Three Ireland commented: “The grant for small businesses is one of Three Ireland’s flagship initiatives each year and it is a programme that we take great pride in.
"For the third year running, Three has partnered with Enterprise Nation on this which will assist these businesses with their continuous growth and development.
"We are delighted with the volume of applications we received this year which is testament to the high regard that small firms have for this initiative and the appetite for growth amongst Ireland’s entrepreneurs.”
