LIMERICK senior ladies football manager Graham Shine has named a 36-player panel for their respective 2023 league and championship campaigns.

The Kerry native has included players from 12 clubs in the panel and they make their season bow this weekend when they make the trip to Kilkenny in their first league game.

Shine guided Limerick to the Division 4 league final last year but lost to Offaly in the decider. He will be hopeful that his charges can go one further in the competition and also improve on their championship performance this season.

Limerick reached the All-Ireland junior semi-final but fell to Fermanagh on a 7-21 to 3-12 scoreline in that game.

Shine has also named a strong backroom team for the year. He is joined by: Kevin Boyle, Tim Kenneally and Mike Quilligan (Selectors), Sean Kiely (GK Coach/Selector), Stephen Walsh (S&C Coach), Rosaleen Creamer (FLO) and Gerry Mai (Sports Psychologist).

As well as playing Kilkenny away at 2pm, Limerick have league fixtures against Wicklow, February 12 in Wicklow, Leitrim on February 19 in Limerick and Derry on March 5 in Derry.
