The death has occurred of Michael Russell of Killeenagarriff, Ahane, Lisnagry, Limerick.

Michael passed away after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family in Birmingham. Beloved son of the late John and Mary Russell and husband of the late Shirley. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Kerry, son Michael, son-in-law Craig, daughter-in-law Caroline, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Peggy, Nora, Patsy, Tom, J.J. Eddie and Danny, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

The Funeral will take place in Birmingham.

The death has occurred of Fr. Michael Murphy of Kilcornan, Limerick.

Our dearest, Rev. Fr. Michael Murphy CSSP, Vicar General of Makurdi Diocese, Nigeria (formerly of Kilcornan) passed away following a brief illness at Murray Medical Center, Makurdi on November 28th 2022.

Father Murphy was the longest-serving Catholic Priest in the state. Father Murphy is predeceased by his parents, sisters May and Nellie, brothers, Paddy, Tommy, Willie and Johnny and the deceased members of his fundraising community. Deeply regretted by his relatives, nephews and nieces, cousins, Paddy Ward, Newtown and sadly missed by his Nigerian, Irish and English brethren, parishioner’s and his many kind and loyal friends.

A Mass for the repose of the soul of Father Murphy will be held on Monday, 5th December, at 9.30 am at St. John the Baptist Church, Kilcornan.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

It is hoped that the details of Father Murphy’s Requiem Mass in Markurdi will follow.

The death has occurred of Esther McCarthy of Sandymount, Dublin / Feenagh, Limerick

Esther passed away on December 1, 2022. Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Mary McCarthy. Deeply regretted by her loving partner Barrie, her sisters Helen, Mary Bresnihan, Ita McGrath and Alice Horan, her brothers John, Michael and Alec, sisters-in-law Ina, Mary Ita and Louise, brothers-in-law Mick, Johnny and Tim, her nieces and nephews, uncle Cathal, cousins, other relatives and wide circle of friends.

Rest in Peace.

The death has occurred of Patrick Christopher COPPERWHITE of Leopardstown, Dublin / Patrickswell, Limerick / Galway City.

Patrick Christopher Copperwhite, late of Leopardstown, Dublin 18 and formerly of Patrickswell, Co. Limerick and St. Helen’s Street, Galway City, died peacefully on 2nd December, 2022, in the exceptional care of the staff at Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock.

Beloved husband of the late Joan, deeply missed by his children Shirley, Diana, David and Robert, daughter-in-law Adriana, son-in-law Pat, grandchildren Alex, Annabelle, Max and Fede, sister Emily and a wide circle of family and friends. Predeceased by his sisters Mary and Bridie and brothers Robert and Gabriel.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Monday (December 5) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday (December 6) at 10.00am in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Broe (née Mullane) of West Singland Road, Garryowen, Limerick.

Formerly of Ballynanty Road, Limerick.

Betty died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the kind care of the staff of Cúram Unit at Milford Nursing Home.

Beloved wife of the late Paddy.

Very deeply regretted by her loving sons Derek and Mark, daughter Marion, daughters-in-law Brid and Cathy, son-in-law Damien, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Breda and Mary, brothers Mike, Tadgh and Frank, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Sunday (Dec. 4th) from 3.00pm to 4.30pm, followed by removal to St. Munchin's Church, Clancy Strand, arriving at 5.00pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday (Dec. 5th) at 11.00am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre.
