Deaths in Limerick - March 5, 2018

The death has occurred of Mary Barry (née Keary), Woodlawn Drive, Dooradoyle, formerly of Killiland, Loughrea, peacefully at the University Hospital. 

Beloved wife of the late Seamus (James), and dearest mother of Mairead, Gerard, Niall, Colm, Cathal and the late John. Deeply regretted by her brothers Denis, Pat & Martin, sisters Sadie & Carmel, son-in-law Ted, daughters-in-law Maria, Nicola, Bernie & Anne, her 13 grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Wednesday, March 7th, from 5.30 pm with removal at 7 pm to St. Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle. Funeral on Thursday, March 8th, after 11.30 am Mass to Mungret (Old) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Moira Coffey (née Dundon), Claureen Drive, Ennis, Co. Clare and formerly Clonshire, Adare, Co. Limerick, peacefully at The Galway Clinic after a long illness.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Frank, her son Frank Jnr, her daughters Deirdre and Grainne, brothers Mike and Connie, sister Breda, son-in-law Stephen, granddaughter Orlaith, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Kennedys Funeral Home, Ennis on Wednesday, March 7, from 5.30pm with removal to Ennis Cathedral at 7.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 8, at 11 am. Burial afterwards in Drumcliffe Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mike) Dwane, Feohanagh, after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family at Beechwood House Nursing Home. 

Predeceased by his baby daughter Rosealeen. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen, daughters Mary (Graham), Cliona (Bridgeman) and Sinéad (Clarson), sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Sexton's Funeral Home, Broadford on Tuesday from 5.30pm with removal at 8pm to St. Mary's Church, Feohanagh. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Aglish Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Bríd Fitzsimons, Beechwood Drive, Greystones and Abbeydorney, Kerry, unexpectedly at University Hospital.

Beloved daughter of Gerry and Sheila (nee McCarthy, Abbeydorney) and dearest sister of Rosaleen, Marisa and Gearóid. Deeply regretted by her brother-in-law Peter. sister-in-law Maria, nephews Séan, Fionn and Daire, nieces Brianna and Aoibhe, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Wednesday (Mar.7th) from 6.30pm. Removal at 8pm to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road. Funeral on Thursday (Mar. 8th) after 11am Mass to Abbey (New) Cemetery, Ardfert, Co. Kerry (arr. 2pm approx.).

The death has occurred of Harry Greensmyth, Clogherville, Herbertstown and Ballyneety, late of C.I.E. and Limerick and South G.A.A, peacefully, after a long illness bravely borne at University Hospital Limerick.

Pre deceased by his brother Jim and Sister Mary. Very sadly missed by his loving wife Christina, sisters Bridie (Lappan), Rose (Pocock) and Ann (Warnes), nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, other relatives, many kind friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross’ Funeral Home, Ballyneety, Wednesday (March 7th) from 5pm followed by removal at 8pm to the Sacred Heart Church, Herbertstown. Requiem Mass Thursday (March 8th) at 11.30am with funeral afterwards to Ballinard Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Catherine McNamara (née Riordan), Church Road, Croom, peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff at Milford Care Centre. 

Very deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband Stephen, daughter Siobháin, sons Paul, Phillip and Stephen, son-in-law Morgan, daughter-in-law Eimear, adoring granddaughters Aisling, Rachel and Emily, sisters Margaret and Josephine, nephew, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her special friend Mary, relatives, kind neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing Wednesday evening at her home from 4pm with removal at 8pm to St Mary’s Church Croom. Funeral Mass Thursday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire Croom. No flowers please, donations in lieu to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of Mary O'Connor (née McAuliffe), Knockbrack, Abbeyfeale and Lystoll Lodge Nursing Home, Listowel, formerly of Foildarrig, Duagh, Co. Kerry, peacefully at University Hospital Kerry, surrounded by her family.

The death has occurred of Mary Buckley (née Mullen), Golf Links Road, Castletroy and late of Ballyconneely, Co. Galway and Brooklyn, NY, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff, at St. Michael’s Nursing Home, Caherconlish. 

Beloved wife of the late Michael. Very deeply regretted by her loving children Cathy (McManus), Don, Colleen (Donnellan) and Karen (Flannery), cherished grandchildren Clare, James, Anna, Kelly, Kevin and Michael, sons-in-law Austin, Tom and Pat, daughter-in-law Mary-Beth, brothers Pat & Tom, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Ann Ryan (née Greene), Glengar, Doon and formerly of Shrough, Rathkea, Lattin, Co. Tipperary.
