The death has occurred of John O'Donnell of Ballyhaught, Effin, Kimallock and formerly of the Coombs Ardpatrick, Kilmallock.

John passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and the exceptional care of the staff of St Martha’s Nursing Home, Charleville, Co. Cork, in his 81st year, on Wednesday, January 21.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Josephine, his brothers Patrick and James and his nephew Seán.

John will be missed by his loving sisters Mary and Eileen and his brothers Edmund, Michael and Christopher, sisters-in-law Mary, Barbara, Lily and Eileen, his adored nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grandniece and great grandnephew, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Reposing at McCarthys funeral home Kilfinane (V35 Y8P8) between 6pm and 8pm on Friday, January 23. Removal from his sister Mary’s house, (house private), on Saturday, January 24 for 12pm mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ardpatrick (V35 A524).

John’s family greatly appreciate your sympathy and support at this sad time.

The death has occurred of Ann Carey née Purcell of Clarina Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston and formerly of Claughaun Avenue, Garryowen, Limerick and Ex High Way, Dooradoyle.

Passed away, peacefully, at St John’s Hospital, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, January 22.

Very deeply regretted by husband Robert, sons David and Jeff, daughter Jackie, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law Sandra and Janet, son-in-law Chris, sisters Marie, Breda, Ber and Joyce, brother Jim, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by parents Sean and Christine, sister Rita and Frances and brother Tony.

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street, on Monday, January 26, from 10.30am to 11.30am, followed by removal to St John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12pm. Funeral afterwards to Mount St Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred Michael (Mike) Body of St Ita's, Convent Road, Abbeyfeale and formerly of Ballycommane,  Tournafulla and Rathcahill West, Templeglantine, Limerick

Passed away, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at Beechwood House Nursing Home, Newcastle West with his family by his side, on Wednesday, January 21.

Predeceased by his loving wife Alice (née Moran), parents Michael and Joan, sister Mary, brother Harry.

Mike is very sadly missed by his son Michael, sisters Bridie and Joan, brothers Maurice, Joe and Paddy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, all his other relatives and large circle of friends.

Reposing at Harnett’s Funeral Home, The Square, Abbeyfeale (V94 AK44) on Friday, January 23 from 6pm until 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass for Mike will be celebrated in The Church of The Assumption Abbeyfeale on Saturday, January 24 at 11am.

Interment afterwards in The Old Cemetery, Church Road, Templeglantine.

The death has occurred of Edmund (Ed/Ned) Campion of Serendipity, Newport, Wales and Rathfarnham, Dublin. Originally from Gouldavoher, Limerick.

Passed away, suddenly, after a very short illness, in The Grange Hospital, Wales, surrounded by his loving wife and family, on Tuesday, January 20.

Beloved husband of Marie Murphy-Campion, father of Tim and Tom and stepfather of Emma and Gavin.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, brother John, sisters Marie and Fran, sisters-in-law Ger and Teresa, brothers-in-law Don and Tom, nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends.

Passed away, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, January 22.

Sadly missed by his brother Seanie, sister Mary (Culhane), nephew Thomas, nieces Michelle and Mairead and adored grandnephew Jamie.

Reposing on Sunday evening, January 25 from 5.30pm to 7pm in St John the Baptist Church, Kilcornan, Co Limerick V94 K2V9. Requiem Mass on Monday, January 26 at 12 noon followed by burial in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael Denis (Micéal) O'Rourke of Fermoy, Cork, Ballyvourney, Cork, Moyvane, Castlebar, Wicklow, Nigeria, Dublin and formerly of Shanagolden, Limerick,

Miceál passed away, peacefully, after a short illness in the presence of family members and in the exceptional care of the medical team in Cork University Hospital, on Thursday, January 22.

Son of the late Elizabeth and Denis (Denny) Sibling of John J (Deceased), Helen Whyte, Patricia (Deceased), Tadhg (Gene), Vera (Carmody), Margaret Angela (McCormilla) (Deceased), Denis, Rose, Martin and Noel.

Fágann sé croí bhriste a clann, idir neachtanna agus nianna, a gclainn siúd, a bpáistí, is a ngar-pháistí; a deartháireacha is deirfiúracha cleamhnais féin; an fhoireann grámhar, cneasta agus a cáirde féin in Windmills Nursing Home. Michael will repose at Ronayne's Funeral Home Fermoy P61 WT21.

Visitation this Friday evening, January 23 from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

Funeral arriving at Shanagolden Church on Saturday, January 24 at 11.15am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Relig Mhuire.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Liza) Doyle née McCarthy of Mt. View Drive, Cahir, Tipperary and Lisnagry, Limerick.

Liza passed away, peacefully, in the exceptional care of staff at Elm Hall Nursing Home, Celbridge, Co Kildare, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 22.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Maurice (Moss), sisters Bridie, Mary and Kathleen, and son-in-law Eric (Doyle Higgins). Beloved mother and grandmother deeply mourned by her children Marian (Mackessy), Bernadette (Doyle Higgins) and Maurice (Doyle), daughter-in-law Elaine, son-in-law Jim (Mackessy), cherished grandchildren Rachel, Erica, Niamh, Ciara, Aoibheann, great grandchildren Isabella, Evanine, Arlo and Beau, nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Funeral arriving to St Mary's Church, Cahir on Saturday, January 24 for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.

The death has occurred of Mary (Maureen) Fawcett née Fitzgerald of Drombanna, Limerick and England.

Mary passed away, at her home in Thornbury, England on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Maureen leaves behind three children Michael, Angela and Jonathan, eight grandchildren, her brother Garret and sister Patricia, other relatives and friends.

Maureen’s Funeral Mass took place at Christ the King & Holy Cross Catholic Church, Thornbury on December 5.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Sunday, January 25 from 4.30pm to 6pm. Funeral arriving at St Mary Magdalene Church, Monaleen on Monday, January 26 for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Kilmurry Old Cemetery.
