RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Sunday, November 23

Deaths in Limerick: Tuesday, March 12, 2024

The death has occurred of Dermot (Thomas) Darcy, Ballynanty and Glenbrook, Limerick and Fanore, Co. Clare.

Late of Eircom and Maintenance team of Aillwee Caves, Ballyvaughan.

Peacefully after a brief illness borne with dignity, at Milford Care Centre, on 22nd November 2025, in the presence of his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Willie and Peggy.

Dermot will be sadly missed by his family, sons Gary and Andrew, daughters Sarah and Christine, their mother Mary, his 11 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers Eric, Tony, Niall and Pacelli, sisters Marie, Carol and Rosaleen, nieces, nephews, relatives, his cherished friends in Limerick, and Clare, and his beloved dog Jake.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Griffins Funeral Home, John’s Gate, Pennywell, on Monday, 24th November, from 3.30pm to 5pm.

Funeral Service will take place in Shannon Crematorium on Tuesday, 25th November, at 4pm.

The death has occurred of David Hanly, Fairgreen, Limerick, Dublin and late of RTE. 21st November 2025 (peacefully) at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Sadly missed by his family, his sons and daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters and by Yvonne.

May he Rest in Peace.
