RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Monday, October 6

Deaths in Limerick: Monday, October 14, 2024

The death has occurred of Chinenyenwa (Chiboy) Nwabufoh, Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Nigeria. Late of General Motors, Castletroy.

September 18th 2025, suddenly.

Beloved fiancé of Roisin. Dearly loved father of L.J. Sadly missed by his loving parents Caroline and Felix, extended family, work colleagues and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at St. Nessan’s Church, Raheen, Limerick on Thursday (9th October) from 5pm to 6.30pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday (10th October) at 11am followed by burial in Castlemungret Cemetery.

It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Andrea McCallig, Raheen Square, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick.

On October 5th 2025, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by mother Angela, father Pat and sister Debbie.

Andrea will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, sister Charlotte, brother-in-law Dave, cousin Maryanne, sons Dean, Billy and Johnny, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

May she Rest in Peace

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Thursday, October 9th, from 9.30am to 10.30am, followed by removal to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Childers Road (Eir code: V94NX77) to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.30am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Nora Hennessy (née O'Donoghue), Killeline Heights, Newcastle West, Limerick and formerly of Killoughteen, Newcastle West, Co Limerick. 

Nora died peacefully on 6th October 2025, at St Ita's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff.

Wife of the late Patsy. Deeply regretted by her sons Pat and Kevin, brother Tom, and sister Chrissie, grandchildren Claire, Sharon, Rebekah, Padraic, Bryan and Shane, daughter-in-law Mary, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Riedy's Funeral Home this Wednesday, 8th October, from 6 pm with removal at 7:30 pm to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West.

Requiem Mass is on Thursday at 11:30 am with burial afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of St Ita's Hospital.
