RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Sunday, July 27

Deaths in Limerick: Monday, October 14, 2024

The death has occurred of Sr Eileen Toomey, Little Company of Mary, Milford Convent, Castletroy. Formerly of Wolfe Tone Street, Limerick.

Sr. Eileen died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and Little Company of Mary Sisters, under the gentle and exceptional care of the Milford Hospice Staff, on 27th July 2025.

Predeceased by her parents John and Jennie Toomey, brother Michael, sister Noreen and recently departed nephew John Toomey.

Sr. Eileen will be deeply missed by her Little Company Sisters, her sisters Jenny (Sheehan) and Sheila (O’Halloran), sister-in-law Mary Toomey, nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and all who will miss her.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam

Reposing at Milford Care Centre Mortuary, Castletroy on Monday, 28th July from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving at Our Lady Help of Christian’s Church, Castletroy, on Tuesday, 29th July for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.

Burial afterwards to Milford Convent Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Katie Quinn (Nee Galligan), Newgarden, Lisnagry, Co. Limerick. 27th July 2025, peacefully at her home in the presence of her family. 

Recently predeceased by her loving husband Sean also by her sisters Maura and Noreen. Sadly missed by her sons David and Sean, daughter Miriam, granddaughter Aoife, sister Bridie and brother in law Seamus, extended family, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home Newport on Tuesday 29th July from 5.30 to 7 p.m.

Arrival to Our Lady Help of Christians Church Castletroy on Wednesday 30th for Requiem Mass at 11.30 a.m., which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/milfordlimerick, burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery Castletroy.

The death has occurred of Rosaleen McDonagh, (née Quinlivan), Caledonian Place, Lord Edward Street, Limerick.

Passed away peacefully, in the exceptional care of the staff at Corbally House Nursing Home, on 27th July 2025.

Rosaleen will be sadly missed by her loving family, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, her fellow residents of Corbally House Nursing Home and friends.

Rest in Peace

The death has occurred of Hubert Hayes, Chapel Drive, Kilrush, Co Clare and formerly of Ballysheedy, Co. Limerick and formerly of C.I.E.

Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the University Hospital Limerick.

Husband of the late Bridget, father of the late Cormac and predeceased by his brothers Harry and Sean.

Survived by his daughter Fiona, sons Colm, Owen and Mike, his brother Mike, his beloved grandchildren Leah, Madison, Dylan, Rhea, Caoimhe and James, his daughter in law Molly, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May Hubert's soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing in St. Senan's Church Kilrush, on Monday from 6 o'clock with Funeral Prayers at 7.30. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11 o'clock, followed by burial in All Saints Cemetery Shanakyle.

The Funeral Mass may be viewed live on Kilrush Parish Webcam.
