Deaths in Limerick
The death has occurred of James (Jim) O'Shaughnessy, late of Finglas, and formerly of Rathkeale, Limerick on May 13, peacefully at home in the loving care of his family, after a long illness borne with dignity and courage.
Retired principal of St Finian’s Primary School, Finglas.
Beloved husband of Mairead and devoted father of Niamh, Ciara, Darragh, Cian, Séamus and Conall. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife, daughters, sons; cherished grandchildren Holly, Luke, Donncha, April, Zoë, Fionn, Alfie, Lily and Emma; sisters-in-law Phyllis, Marie, Patsy, Aine and Rena, brothers-in-law Bernard, Jack and Raymond, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends and neighbours.
Predeceased by brother John, sisters Phyllis, Marian, Eleanor, Josie; brothers-in-law Pat, Maurice (Moss), John and Cliff.
Reposing at the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Church Street, Finglas, (D11 P62) on Thursday, May 15 afternoon with family in attendance from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral on Friday morning, May 16 at St Canice’s Church, Main Street, Finglas Village, (D11 T97T) arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery, D11 XA32.

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) Downes, Barna View, Glendarragh, Newcastle West, Limerick suddenly at his residence on May 13.
Deeply regretted by his wife Agatha, children Thomas, Breeda (O’Riordan), Noreen (Gallagher), Teresa (Tarpey) and John, grandchildren Grace, Nessa, Jack, Maurice, Thomas, TJ, Megan, Ellie, Sam, Nathan and Dylan, brothers, sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Reposing at Riedy’s Funeral Home, Newcastle West on Thursday, May 15 from 5.30pm until 8pm. Arriving at the church in Monagea on Friday morning, May 16 for the Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael McGuane, Ryan's Cottages, Rosbrien Limerick and formerly of Frances Street, Kilrush, Co Clare, Rosbrien, unexpectedly.
Predeceased by his parents Maura and James McGuane and his sister Maeve McGuane.
Deeply regretted by his brother Tony, sister-in-law Veronica, nephews Rowan, Mark and his wife Laura and James, cousins, former teaching colleagues and students at St. Enda's Community School, Limerick and many friends.
Reposing at Cusack's Funeral Chapel Kilrush on Saturday evening, May 17 from 5 pm with removal at 7pm to St Senan's Church Kilrush. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in New Shanakyle Cemetery.
