The death has occurred of Edward Ned Ahern
Upper Dirreen, Athea, Limerick
Ned passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024. Pre-deceased by his parents William and Johanna and sister Joan.
Ned will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Etty, devoted daughter Margaret, adored grandchildren Shauna and Teddy, son in law Darragh, brother Billy (U.K.) sisters Peggy (Cork), Philomena, Catherine, Mary, Christina and Helen (U.K.) nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers in law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May Ned Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Finucane's Funeral Home, Moyvane, on Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm.
Funeral cortege will arrive to St. Bartholomews Church, Athea, on Tuesday at 11.45 a.m. for 12noon Requiem Mass will be live-streamed here.
Interred afterwards in Holycross cemetery, Athea.

The death has occurred of Carmel (Carrie) Beatty (née Lee)
Corbally, Limerick and formerly of Aghacashel Post Office, Co. Leitrim and former Lady Captain and Lady President of Castletroy Golf Club. September 12, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of Milford Care Centre.
Beloved wife of Padraig. Dearly loved mother of Helen, Gerard, Angela, John, Ursula, Carmel and Mary. Sadly missed by her loving sons-in-law Louis, Gerry, Clive and Derek, daughters-in-law Chris and Margaret, cherished grandchildren Dermot, Eimear, Adam, Andrew, Seán, Eoghan, Michael, Jennifer, Caroline, Conor, Ronan, Fergus, Matthew, Jack, Colm, Moya and Dónal, great grandchildren Maya and Tadhg, sisters-in-law Marie Lee and Kathleen Mahon, brother-in-law Joe, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and friends. Pre-deceased by her brother Jack (Jackie).

Reposing at Milford Care Centre on Tuesday (September 17) from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Funeral arriving at St. Nicholas Church, Westbury, for Requiem Mass on Wednesday (September 18) at 11.30am followed by cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.

On September 13, 2024, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his grandson Gary.

The Corner House Bar, Athlacca, Co. Limerick and late of Gurranekeagh, Effin, Co. Limerick. Peacefully after a short illness in the loving care of the staff of University Hospital Limerick.
Pre-deceased by his sisters Maura Sheahan, Breda O'Leary and Cait Heffernan
Liam will be sadly missed by Margaret, Shanie, Tiernan and Aine, Shanie's partner Robbie Moloney, Tiernan's partner Shelly Browne, his adored grandsons, Billy, Liam Óg and Malachy, his sisters Eibhlin Óg, Patsy (Lyons) and Anne (Mohammed), his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, many loyal customers and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in St. John the Baptist Church, Athlacca on Monday, September 16, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, September 17, at 12noon, followed by burial in the local cemetery.

The Strand, Ennis Road, Limerick, formerly of Ardykeohane, Bruff, Co. Limerick. Former Garda, Special Branch, IDA, founding Director of Plassey Technological Park and Chairman of the Civil Defence. Peacefully surrounded by his family at Milford Hospice, on September 13, 2024.
Deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his wife Madeleine, daughter Jennifer and son Paul. Also his daughter-in-law, Noelle, and grandchildren Alanna, Jack and Ellen. Brother to Conor, Bríd, Eileen, Seán and Myra. Pre-deceased by his brother Denis. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Butler's Funeral Home, Bruff, Co. Limerick (V35 XD34) this Sunday evening, September 15, from 5.30pm to 7pm. Arriving to Ss. Peter and Paul's Church, Bruff on Monday morning, September 16, for Requiem Mass at 11.30 am, followed by cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 2pm. The Mass will be live-streamed here.
